About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Cardiovascular Unit at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the success of our hospital.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care to patients with cardiovascular conditions, including post-STEMI patients, post-cardiac catheterization patients, and patients undergoing vascular procedures.
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans that meet the unique needs of each patient.
  • Monitor and manage patient vital signs, administer medications, and perform various medical procedures as needed.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures that promote excellent patient outcomes.
Requirements
  • Current state RN license and associate or bachelor's degree from an accredited nursing school.
  • Current American Heart Association BLS certification or obtain within 90 days after hire date.
  • Current American Heart Association ACLS certification or obtain within 6 months after hire date.
  • Successfully pass an arrhythmia exam within 90 days after hire date.
  • NIHSS Certification obtained within 90 days after hire date.
  • Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
  • Language Skills: Able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
