Key Responsibilities:- Conduct comprehensive psychiatric assessments and diagnoses in accordance with policy, regulation, and protocols.
- Administer and monitor medication to improve, stabilize, and manage symptoms for mental health disorders.
- Provide counseling and education to clients and their families to promote medication adherence and address mental health needs.
- Collaborate with the care coordination team, therapists, and other treatment team members to coordinate care and develop treatment plans.
- Order and interpret laboratory or diagnostic testing results to inform treatment decisions.
- Document patient information accurately and timely, including assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and prescriptions.
- Master's of Science in Nursing from an accredited university.
- 1-3 years of post-licensure experience in a psychiatric or community-based treatment environment.
- Experience working with children, adolescents, and families in a therapeutic setting.
- Ability to work flexible hours and travel approximately 25% of the time.
- Experience prescribing psychotropic medications specific to mental health diagnoses.
- Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner certification or experience in a similar specialty.
