Role Summary:
Bering Global Solutions, a division of Bering Straits Native Corporation, is actively seeking a skilled Performance Dietitian to join our Human Performance Program at Holloman AFB, New Mexico. This role is pivotal in enhancing the performance of military personnel through tailored nutritional strategies within a state-of-the-art human performance facility.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement nutrition policies and program requirements aligned with established company guidelines.
- Act as the nutrition authority, providing expert consultation to support a comprehensive fitness initiative for aircrew members.
- Utilize principles of dietetics and behavior change to assess, plan, and evaluate the nutritional needs of military personnel.
- Design and deliver educational materials and performance nutrition content for human performance training programs.
- Collaborate with the human performance team to evaluate nutrition behaviors and requirements using relevant tools and research.
- Ensure data quality management and reporting standards are met in accordance with Department of Defense guidelines.
- Facilitate communication and coordination of nutrition programs among leadership and target beneficiaries.
- Employ social marketing strategies to achieve program objectives.
- Conduct educational sessions, briefings, and wellness consultations as required.
- Review patient records to provide assessments for dietetic treatment as necessary.
- Maintain all professional credentials and licensure.
- Ensure cleanliness and sanitization of the facility and equipment used for dietetic services.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited program in Nutrition and Dietetics.
- A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in a similar capacity.
- Board eligibility as a Certified Specialist in Sports Dietetics by the ADA.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree in nutrition education, sports nutrition, public health, or related fields.
- Experience working with military or tactical populations.
Physical Requirements:
The role requires maintaining a constant state of mental alertness and physical condition suitable for various activities, including standing, walking, and bending.
Work Environment:
This position is based in a gym or classroom setting, with occasional travel required.
