Key Responsibilities
- Assemble and construct machines or mechanical components as per specifications.

- Perform repairs aimed at achieving optimal reliability.
Additional Responsibilities
- Execute complex mechanical repairs on both light and heavy equipment, including trucks, loaders, and tractors.
- Inspect machinery and run diagnostic tests to uncover functionality problems.
- Resolve reported issues promptly and efficiently.
- Conduct thorough maintenance on machinery, equipment, and systems.
- Apply lubricants and clean machinery components as needed.
- Refill fluids and components of engines and machinery.
- Advise users on proper maintenance and preventative measures for machinery and vehicles.
- Perform other assigned duties, such as hydraulic system repairs and vehicle painting.
- Maintain logs of work performed and report on any issues encountered.
- Ensure a clean and safe working environment.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience as an Automotive Technician.
- In-depth knowledge of machinery, hydraulic, electrical, and other systems and their components.
- Strong mathematical skills and critical thinking abilities.
- Proficiency in using various hand tools and precision measurement instruments.
- Ability to follow established procedures and interpret schematics and blueprints.
- Commitment to health and safety guidelines.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving capabilities.
- High school diploma preferred.
- Valid license: Tanker Endorsement, Class A preferred.
- Availability to work weekends and holidays.
- Physical capability to lift over 75 pounds and endure extended periods of bending and stooping.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Maricopa Water District (MWD) is a political subdivision of the State of Arizona, dedicated to providing water and power services across a 60-square mile area that encompasses both agricultural and urban environments. MWD also operates Pleasant Harbor RV Resort and Marina at Lake Pleasant.
