Physical Therapist Assistant

About the RoleThe Physical Therapy Assistant will be responsible for implementing patient care plans developed by Physical Therapists, ensuring that treatments are carried out according to plan, and evaluating patient progress.
Duties include:
- Providing services as defined by state laws governing Physical Therapy Assistants, in accordance with the plan of care, and in coordination with other healthcare professionals
- Aiding patients in utilizing therapeutic, creative, and self-care activities to improve functioning and safety
- Observing, recording, and reporting patient responses to treatment and changes in their condition
- Instructing patients, families, caregivers, and healthcare teams on areas of therapy where they can assist the patient
To be successful in this role, you must have:
- A Physical Therapy Assistant license and registration in the state
- Completion of a Physical Therapy Assistant curriculum approved by The American Physical Therapy Association, The Council on Medical Education and Hospitals of the American Medical Association, or The Council on Medical Education of the American Medical Association
- Ability and enthusiasm in working with patients of all ages
- Bilingual skills are a plus
