Job Summary

This is a unique opportunity to join the Ochsner LSU Health System as a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner. The successful candidate will work in collaboration with the Medical Director and other healthcare professionals to provide high-quality care to critically ill neonates and infants. The ideal candidate will have a Master's degree in nursing and certification as a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner through the National Certification Corporation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide primary medical management and emergency stabilization of critically ill neonates and infants
  • Collaborate with the Medical Director and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans
  • Participate in daily rounds and manage a caseload of patients in the NICU
  • Provide education and support to families and other healthcare professionals
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest medical research and best practices in neonatal care
Requirements
  • Master's degree in nursing
  • Certification as a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner through the National Certification Corporation
  • Current Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) license in the state of practice
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification from the American Heart Association
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
  • S.T.A.B.L.E. certification
