Soliant Education is seeking a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist to join our team in a supportive school environment. This full-time, on-site position for the 2024-2025 school year offers the chance to make a significant impact in the lives of a diverse student population.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive speech-language evaluations to identify students' communication needs and develop individualized education programs (IEPs) tailored to each child's unique developmental stage and learning style.
  • Utilize evidence-based treatment approaches to address a range of communication disorders, including articulation difficulties, language delays, fluency issues, social communication challenges, and feeding and swallowing concerns.
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, specialists, administrators, and parents to ensure a cohesive approach to supporting each child's communication development in all settings.
  • Monitor student progress, analyze data, and report on the effectiveness of interventions to inform ongoing therapy plans.
  • Create positive and playful learning environments that foster communication skills, confidence, and social interaction in young learners.

Requirements:

  • Illinois State License in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP).
  • Prior experience working with students with speech and language impairments in a school setting is highly preferred.
  • Strong clinical skills in speech and language assessment, intervention, and program development specifically tailored for school-aged children.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills to build strong relationships with students of varying ages, parents, and school staff.
  • Creativity and a passion for using engaging approaches to support communication development in young learners.
  • Proficiency in data collection, analysis, and reporting on student progress.
  • Understanding of child development as it relates to communication skills across the school-aged population.
