Job Summary

Meridian Health Services is seeking a skilled and compassionate Skill Builder II to join our team in Marion, IN. As a key member of our Children's program, you will provide individual and group skills training and development to assist clients and families in achieving developmental milestones and reducing psychosocial barriers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct interviews, counseling sessions, and provide resolution for clients in situations involving social, emotional, financial, marital, health, or other problems.
  • Travel up to 75% to other locations to provide services.
  • Develop and implement case management plans, including evaluation, preparation, and implementation.
  • Organize and conduct client support groups.
  • Maintain working relationships and act as a liaison for clients with medical staff and staff of agencies and institutions.
  • Encourage and assist clients toward independent living and a sense of self-esteem.
  • Prepare and maintain written case records, reports, and forms, including case follow-up and closing.
  • Maintain Meridian Health Services standards, policies, procedures, and regulations in accordance with local, state, and federal laws and with ethical standards of the profession.
  • Maintain productivity standards as assigned.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree (BA, BS, BSW) in Social Work, Sociology, Psychology, Criminal Justice, Education, Nursing, Recreational Therapy, Rehabilitation, Music Therapy, Art Therapy, Pastoral Counseling, or Child Development.
  • One to two years related experience preferred.
  • A valid driver's license with a driving record meeting Meridian's driving policy, reliable transportation, and proof of auto insurance.
  • A commitment to providing individual attention to help clients achieve mental, emotional, and physical well-being.
