Leidos Hardware Engineer Job Description


As a Hardware Engineer at Leidos, you will be responsible for analyzing complex hardware systems, providing hardware engineering expertise, and ensuring that problems have been properly identified and solutions will satisfy the user's requirements. Your primary responsibilities will include analyzing hardware specifications, preparing functional requirements and specifications for hardware acquisitions, and conducting site surveys to assess site network configurations and unique requirements. You will also be responsible for developing hardware installation schedules, training site personnel in proper hardware use, and recommending hardware specifications for acquisitions. Additionally, you will assist with preparing installation guides, field test procedures, and troubleshooting guides.


Key Responsibilities:



  • Provide hardware engineering expertise to analyze complex hardware systems
  • Prepare functional requirements and specifications for hardware acquisitions
  • Conduct site surveys to assess site network configurations and unique requirements
  • Develop hardware installation schedules
  • Train site personnel in proper hardware use
  • Recommend hardware specifications for acquisitions
  • Assist with preparing installation guides, field test procedures, and troubleshooting guides

Requirements:



  • Twenty (20) years' experience as a Hardware Engineer analyzing complex hardware systems for SIGINT solutions is required
  • Bachelor's degree in Communications Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Information Systems, Mathematics, or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required
  • Five (5) years of additional hardware engineering experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree

Security Clearance:



  • Must possess active TS/SCI with polygraph clearance to be considered for this role
