The Radiologic Technologist plays a vital role in the healthcare team by providing high-quality imaging services to assist in patient diagnosis and treatment.
Schedule:
Part-time hours including:
- Mondays: 8am - 5pm
- Wednesdays: 8am - 5pm
- Fridays: 8am - 12pm
Core Responsibilities:
As a Radiologic Technologist, your primary responsibilities will include:
1. **Patient Positioning:** Accurately positioning patients for imaging procedures to ensure optimal results.
2. **Monitoring:** Observing patients throughout the imaging process to ensure their safety and comfort.
3. **Documentation:** Recording patient information and imaging results using electronic systems.
4. **Communication:** Effectively explaining procedures to patients and addressing any inquiries they may have.
5. **Equipment Preparation:** Setting up and preparing imaging equipment for use as required.
6. **Safety Assurance:** Upholding patient safety protocols during imaging examinations.
Professional Development:
Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of radiology practices through continuous education and participation in professional organizations is essential.
Compliance and Standards:
Ensuring adherence to all federal, state, and local regulations, as well as institutional policies, is critical in this role.
Qualifications:
To be successful in this position, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- **Education:** A minimum of an Associate's degree from an accredited institution.
- **Certification:** Must hold ARRT certification and be a registered RT or LMRT.
Work Environment:
Maintain a clean and organized workspace while contributing positively to the overall team atmosphere.
Additional Duties:
Other responsibilities may be assigned as needed to support the department's operations.
