Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Bike and Ski Shop Mechanic to join our team at REI. As a key member of our retail store Shop team, you will be responsible for creating a better outdoor experience for our customers by providing expert knowledge, recommendations, and exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assemble and maintain REI equipment to industry standards
  • Provide exceptional customer service in the shop and on the sales floor
  • Contribute to REI's success by servicing and repairing bikes and/or snow sports equipment
  • Train teammates to conduct shop service functions and mentor inexperienced staff
  • Research and report significant quality and safety issues
Requirements
  • 1-2 years previous bike and/or ski shop experience (or equivalent/transferable skills)
  • Open availability to work a flexible schedule
  • Ability to transfer up to 40 pounds
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to set priorities and meet deadlines
