Cardiology Physician Job Opportunity at Oklahoma City VA

The Oklahoma City VA Healthcare System is seeking a board-certified or board-eligible full-time Cardiologist to join our Cardiology department. As a Cardiology Physician, you will be accountable to the Chief of Cardiology Service and will participate in inpatient and outpatient care related to cardiovascular diseases.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide patient care that is compassionate, appropriate, and effective for the promotion of health, prevention of illness, treatment of disease, and care at the end of life.
  • Participate in clinical management, including indirect patient care, open encounter and open consult maintenance, CPRS documentation requirements, and monitoring of clinic management.
  • Apply national and VA guidelines to patient screening, surveillance, and management of cardiovascular diseases.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide high-quality patient care.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest medical knowledge and technologies to provide evidence-based care.
Requirements:
  • Current, full, and unrestricted license to practice medicine or surgery in the U.S.
  • Board Certified in Cardiology preferred, but Board Eligibility may also be considered.
  • Additional board certification in Internal Medicine is preferred.
Benefits:
  • Starting pay is $350,000 per year.
  • A recruitment incentive will be offered, and there is potential for an annual performance bonus of up to $15,000.
