Cardiologist Opportunity at Oklahoma City VA

The Oklahoma City VA Healthcare System is seeking a board-certified or board-eligible full-time Cardiologist to join our Cardiology department. As a Cardiology Physician, you will be accountable to the Chief of Cardiology Service and will participate in inpatient and outpatient care related to cardiovascular diseases.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide patient care that is compassionate, appropriate, and effective for the promotion of health, prevention of illness, treatment of disease, and care at the end of life.
- Participate in clinical management, including indirect patient care, open encounter and open consult maintenance, CPRS documentation requirements, and monitoring of clinic management.
- Apply national and VA guidelines to patient screening, surveillance, and management of cardiovascular diseases.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide high-quality patient care.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest medical knowledge and technologies to provide evidence-based care.
- Current, full, and unrestricted license to practice medicine or surgery in the U.S.
- Board Certified in Cardiology preferred, but Board Eligibility may also be considered.
- Additional board certification in Internal Medicine is preferred.
- Starting pay is $350,000 per year.
- A recruitment incentive will be offered, and there is potential for an annual performance bonus of up to $15,000.

The OCVAMC is located in Oklahoma City, OK and is the "Flagship" for the Oklahoma VA Health Care System (OCVAHCS) - a Joint Commission accredited, referral level 1b (medium complexity) facility. The Cardiology department serves patients across the spectrum of inpatient and outpatient care for more than 70,000 veterans in an area to include in 48 counties in Oklahoma 2 counties in North Central Texas.
