PACU/Pre-Operative Registered Nurse

Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse for a role in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) and Pre-Operative settings. This position requires a commitment to providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment.
Travel Requirements:
Candidates must adhere to a 75-mile straight line radius rule. Local travelers are not eligible for this position. It is essential that all candidates are aware of their submission to our facility.
Licensing:
Applicants must possess an active New Mexico nursing license or a compact license. Time off requests must be disclosed at the time of submission to be considered for approval; requests made after acceptance will not be accommodated.
Submission Requirements:
When submitting candidates, please include the following:
- A current resume
- At least two professional references (one from the current manager)
- A completed skills checklist/competency assessment
Contract Details:
This is a 13-week assignment requiring a minimum of 2 years of recent experience in a small PACU, along with Pre-Operative experience. Candidates should be team-oriented, flexible, and accustomed to a dynamic work environment. Previous completion of at least one 13-week travel assignment is mandatory.
Certifications:
Current BLS and ACLS certifications are required, with completion through recognized organizations such as the American Heart Association or American Health and Safety. Experience with EPIC EMR is preferred.
Work Schedule:
This position involves 8-hour day shifts starting at 07:00. On-call duties, including weekends and holidays, are required, with a commitment of 15 days of call per month, including 2 weekends. A 20-minute callback time is enforced.
Orientation:
Orientation will occur during the first week of the contract, not exceeding 40 hours, and will include EPIC training. Scrubs will be provided by the facility, and travelers must meet clearance requirements 7 days prior to the start date.
Scrubs Policy:
Registered Nurses may wear any solid color scrubs, ensuring that the top, pants, and jacket (if worn) are of the same solid color.
