Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and passionate Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our school-based team at ProCare Therapy. As a School-Based Speech Language Pathologist, you will play a crucial role in helping students develop effective communication skills and overcome speech and language challenges.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct Speech and Language Assessments
    • Administer standardized assessments to determine students' needs and progress.
  • Develop and Implement Individualized Therapy Plans
    • Create personalized therapy plans to address speech, language, and communication disorders.
  • Provide One-on-One and Group Therapy Sessions
    • Deliver one-on-one and group therapy sessions to students in various settings, including classrooms and therapy rooms.
  • Collaborate with Teachers and School Staff
    • Work closely with teachers and school staff to integrate therapy goals into the classroom environment.
  • Communicate with Parents and Guardians
    • Provide progress updates and strategies for support at home to parents and guardians.
  • Maintain Accurate Records
    • Keep accurate and confidential records of student progress and therapy sessions.
  • Participate in IEP Meetings
    • Contribute to goal setting and progress reporting during Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings.
  • Stay Current with Best Practices
    • Stay up-to-date with the latest research and best practices in speech-language pathology.
Requirements
  • Education and Licensure
    • Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders.
    • Valid state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
    • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) preferred but not required.
  • Experience and Skills
    • Experience working in a school setting or with school-aged children is a plus.
    • Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
    • Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.
    • Passion for helping students succeed academically and socially.
