Job Summary

The Production Supervisor is responsible for leading a manufacturing production team to work injury-free/incident free in a manufacturing environment. They will provide leadership and direction for their team in a way that motivates them to meet all productivity, safety, and quality goals. They are driven to continually improve performance and embrace changes that will help both their team and company meet production standards. They normally will lead a team of 10-20 team members.

Key Responsibilities
  • Safety Excellence: Ensures a safe workplace is maintained and there is a safety mindset in all things we do.
  • Policy Compliance: Follows, and ensures others follow, all policies, standards, and safety requirements defined by the company.
  • Team Development: Facilitates team development and growth, employee skill development, problem-solving and resolution.
  • Process Documentation: Oversees all process documentation and training program procedures for consistency of operational tasks, and the safety and cleanliness of the workplace.
  • Quality Control: Ensures a quality product is being produced and all quality processes are being followed.
  • Productivity Tracking: Tracks productivity for measured efficiency and improvement and operates at or below the budgeted cost for production utilizing lean manufacturing procedures and cross training.
  • Inventory Control: Oversees adherence to inventory control procedures to ensure inventory accuracy goals are constantly achieved.
  • Troubleshooting: Assists with troubleshooting and solving production issues.
Requirements
  • Minimum one year of supervisory experience required, manufacturing environment preferred.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required, college degree preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office including Word and Excel.
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical skills such as calculating percentages and volumes.
