We are seeking skilled craftsmen for the position of Master Mason Craftsman in our B&B/Bridges & Buildings department.

Job Overview

Lay and bind building materials such as brick, tile, concrete block, and mortar to construct or repair walls, partitions, arches, sewers, and other structures. This role requires strong manual skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work at heights.

Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you must have:

• A high school diploma or equivalent
• A valid driver's license
• Experience in masonry, including bricklaying, cement finishing, and wall plastering

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include:

1. Installs brick, terra cotta, terrazzo, tile, and building blocks to construct or repair walls, partitions, floors, arches, and other structures.
2. Lays brick in horizontal rows or designs, cutting brick to size when necessary.
3. Cuts fire brick inside boxes of boilers and forges, using high-temperature cement, fire clay, and ganister.
4. Constructs forms, installs shoring in trenches, and metal concrete reinforcements.
5. Applies interior or exterior plaster, cement, stucco, or similar materials.
6. Ensures all work is completed safely, following Authority and departmental safety policies and procedures.
