Job Title: Barista About the Role: We are seeking a skilled Barista to join our team at Hotel Granada, a boutique hotel in the heart of Atlanta. As a Barista, you will be responsible for creating memorable guest experiences by providing exceptional customer service and preparing high-quality beverages. Key Responsibilities: * Uphold and role model the company's principles of People, Place, and Character, ensuring a seamless and welcoming experience for our guests. * Own all aspects of a Cafe guest's experience, from greeting to departure, ensuring accurate and thorough order details and executing requests in a friendly and timely manner. * Participate in daily line-ups and quarterly all-staff meetings to develop ideas and objectives with the service team, providing constructive feedback and strategizing to overcome challenges. * Work in an organized and clean fashion, respecting guests, peers, equipment, and workspace to create lasting impressions and strong relationships. * Share knowledge of the coffee world with guests, using product knowledge to enhance their experience and offer relevant additions to their order. * Ensure products served are at peak quality, using recipes and accurate measures for consistency. * Be responsible for accurately accounting for and turning in your bank and money, and participating in audits. * Observe conditions of all physical facilities and relay any challenges to the F&B Managers, Supervisors, and/or F&B Director to make corrections and improvements. * Communicate effectively with the F&B and Culinary teams to ensure all guests receive their food and beverage as ordered, and in a timely fashion. * Be willing to assist in other areas of the F&B Department as needed, including Banquets, Restaurants, Bar, and Pool. Requirements: * Passion for the People, Place, and Culture of our community, love of Restaurants and Guest Service required. * Minimum of 1 (one) year experience as a Barista in a free-standing or hotel restaurant or cafe. * TiPS Alcohol service certification and SafeStaff Certificate of Completion, or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire. * Available to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays. * Fluency in English, both verbally and non-verbally. * Ability to continuously stand and/or walk for the majority of a shift, including navigating wet tile floors and steps. * Fine motor coordination needed to pour beverages, decorate cocktails, and fold napkins. * Ability to roll and/or carry tables and chairs when needed. * Ability to lift and/or carry a 30 lb. tray, crate, or box. * Ability to carry over the shoulder occasionally. * Utilize hand and elbow movements for polishing glassware, silver, setting up tables, shaking, pouring, and mixing drinks. * Excellent sight and balance needed for navigating varied floor surfaces. * Ability to handle lighted candles and hot fluids (coffee and tea).
