Responsibilities:

  • Provide professional assessments and documentation of patient health
  • Assist with management of nursing units and staff
  • Participate in the development and implementation of patient care plans
  • Maintain up-to-date patient care plans and document progress
  • Make daily and periodic patient visits for monitoring and observing physical/mental condition
  • Perform routine nursing procedures and work closely with physicians and families
  • Provide emotional support to patients and their families
  • Handle resident and/or visitor complaints, allegations, accidents, or incidents
  • Provide medical record documentation and complete 24-hour reports, end-of-shift reports, and shift narcotic counts
  • Maintain up-to-date patient medical records

Qualifications:

  • Registered Nurse (RN) Qualifications
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing and possess a valid RN license in good standing according to State and Federal requirements
  • Thorough understanding of principles of safe and effective nursing practices within the State of Florida
  • Basic computer knowledge and skills
  • Passion for caring for people
  • Personal integrity and ability to deal tactfully with residents, family members, visitors, government agencies, and other personnel
  • Ability to be discrete and protect the integrity of confidential information and stay within Corporate Compliance and HIPAA
  • Knowledge on the use of personal computers, Word, and Excel, and working with office machines such as fax and copying machines
