Respiratory Protection Specialist

Job Summary:
A Respiratory Protection Specialist with the NYS Office for People With Developmental Disabilities will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating the statewide policy on respiratory protection. This includes managing the requirement for all staff to be annually fit tested, creating and managing a database to track staff and houses that need/have fit testing and medical clearance, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.

Responsibilities:
* Manage the statewide policy on respiratory protection in regards to annual fit testing requirements
* Oversee and coordinate fit testing schedules with the Employee Health Nurse and Infection Control Nurse
* Create and manage database to track staff and houses that need/have fit testing and medical clearance
* Work with training department to add staff in NEO
* Collaborate with human resources to ensure up-to-date employee information
* Maintain current knowledge of Dawson website for medical clearance tracking
* Update DDSO database with staff clearances

Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in Nursing or related field
* 1+ year experience in healthcare or related field
* Ability to work collaboratively with team members

Salary Information:
The estimated salary for this position is $65,000 - $90,000 per year, based on location and experience.
