Job Title: CNC Machinist

At Science Systems & Applications, we are seeking an experienced CNC Machinist to join our manufacturing team. The CNC Machinist will be responsible for operating and maintaining computer numerical control (CNC) machinery to manufacture precision parts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate CNC machinery to manufacture precision parts in accordance with specifications and blueprints.
  • Inspect and test parts to ensure they meet quality and performance standards.
  • Perform routine maintenance on CNC machinery to ensure optimal performance and extend equipment lifespan.
  • Collaborate with the procurement team to source materials and supplies.
  • Analyze and troubleshoot issues with CNC machinery and implement corrective actions.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience working with CNC machinery and computer-aided manufacturing (CAM) software.
  • Strong analytical skills to analyze data and make informed decisions.
  • Excellent communication skills to work effectively with team members and stakeholders.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Possession of physical stamina to perform manual labor tasks and work in a manufacturing environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Completion of vocational school training in CNC machinery operation and maintenance.
  • 10+ years' experience working with CNC machinery in a production environment.
  • Supervisory experience in a manufacturing setting.
