Responsibilities
  • Preparation and Setup: Prepare treatment rooms for patients by following established protocols and procedures.
  • Patient Care: Welcome, comfort, and prepare patients for dental treatment, ensuring their safety and well-being throughout the process.
  • Instrumentation and Materials: Provide dental instruments and materials to the treatment area, ensuring they are properly sterilized and prepared for use.
  • Diagnostic Support: Assist with exposing and developing radiographic studies, pouring, trimming, and polishing study casts to support diagnostic efforts.
  • Temporary Restorations and Appliances: Fabricate temporary restorations and clean and polish removable appliances to maintain patient appearance and ability to masticate.
  • Emergency Response: Maintain CPR certification, emergency drug and oxygen supply, and emergency telephone directory to ensure prompt response to dental and medical emergencies.
  • Patient Education: Educate patients on oral hygiene, plaque control, and postoperative instructions to promote optimal oral health.
  • Documentation: Document dental care services by charting in patient records, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records.
  • Confidentiality and Safety: Maintain patient confidentiality and protect operations by adhering to infection-control policies and protocols, ensuring a safe and clean working environment.
  • Professional Development: Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies.
Requirements
  • X-ray License: Possess a valid X-ray license.
  • Experience: Have at least 1+ year of experience working as a Dental Assistant.
