Position Overview
The Corporate Financial Analyst role is designed for a high-achieving individual with a solid understanding of finance, accounting, and analytical practices. This position requires proficiency in Excel and the ability to create and maintain various financial reports essential for corporate financial planning and departmental assessments.
Ideal candidates will possess strong analytical skills, a proactive attitude, and excellent communication abilities, thriving in collaborative environments with fellow finance professionals.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the creation, preparation, and dissemination of quarterly Corporate Management Reports.
- Assist in refining the Corporate Financial Planning Model to track and project outcomes for business units and the overall Group.
- Coordinate the assembly, review, and distribution of materials for the Company’s Board of Directors, including related presentations.
- Generate and execute ad hoc analyses and inquiries as needed.
- Engage in the assessment of business and accounting challenges, which involves problem identification, research, analysis preparation, and recommendation formulation.
- Produce and circulate monthly reports comparing business unit expenses against budget forecasts.
- Handle sensitive information with utmost confidentiality and sound judgment.
- Undertake additional responsibilities as required to support the financial and administrative functions of the Company.
Qualifications and Skills
- Strong communication skills; adept at engaging with various management levels and professional staff.
- Self-driven and enthusiastic with a robust work ethic; takes ownership of tasks and ensures their completion.
- Excellent organizational and time management capabilities.
- Analytical mindset recognized for proposing innovative solutions and thinking creatively.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word, as well as other database applications.
- Willingness to work in designated offices at least three days a week.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting is preferred.
- Minimum of one year of experience in a financial planning and analysis or accounting capacity.
- Experience in Property Casualty insurance accounting is advantageous.
Physical Requirements
- Work environment is typical of an office setting, climate-controlled, with minimal physical demands. This role involves extended periods of sitting, computer usage, and interaction with colleagues in meetings or via phone.
- Willingness to travel as necessary for business purposes.
