Job Summary

We are seeking a highly qualified Adjunct Instructor to teach undergraduate courses in Accounting at the University of West Florida. The successful candidate will have a strong academic background in Accounting and the ability to effectively communicate complex financial concepts to students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach undergraduate courses in Accounting, including financial accounting, managerial accounting, and taxation
  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans and course materials
  • Evaluate student performance and provide feedback
  • Stay current with developments in Accounting and incorporate relevant industry trends into the curriculum
Requirements
  • Master's degree from an accredited institution in Accounting or a closely-related field
  • At least 18 graduate semester hours in Accounting
  • Pertinent work experience in Accounting or a related field
  • Continuing professional development and engagement activities to maintain qualifications for performing teaching assignment
  • Meet the College of Business Policies on Faculty Qualification for an Instructor position
Preferred Qualifications
  • Doctoral degree in Accounting from an AACSB-accredited institution or a closely-related field
  • At least 18 graduate semester hours in Accounting
  • Pertinent work experience in Accounting or a related field
  • Continuing professional development and engagement activities to maintain qualifications for performing teaching assignment
