We are seeking an experienced Database Administrator with expertise in SQL Server and Oracle database administration, as well as a strong background in hybrid cloud hosting. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of SQL Server and Oracle administration, coupled with expertise in AWS services, particularly AWS RDS and DMS.

Responsibilities:
  • Design, deploy, and manage SQL Server and Oracle databases on premises and in AWS RDS, ensuring optimal performance, availability, and scalability.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to architect and implement hybrid cloud database solutions aligned with business requirements.
  • Develop and maintain infrastructure as code using Python, Bash, Ansible, PowerShell, and Terraform to automate the provisioning and configuration of a hybrid cloud database environment.
  • Migrate on premises databases to AWS using DMS, DMS CDC, and custom CDC scripts.
  • Collaborate with data engineers, DevOps, and other stakeholders to define database requirements and solutions.
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of experience as a SQL Server/Oracle Database Administrator.
  • Strong proficiency in AWS services, particularly AWS RDS and related cloud technologies.
  • Experience with infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform for automating cloud infrastructure provisioning and management.
  • Proficiency in Python, Bash, Ansible, and PowerShell scripting for automation, orchestration, and integration tasks.
  • Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools for continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD).
  • Experience with agile methodologies and working.
  • Solid understanding of SQL Server/Oracle performance tuning, query optimization, and troubleshooting techniques.
  • Experience with database security principles and best practices, including encryption, access controls, and compliance.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex database issues in hybrid cloud environments.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
What We Offer:

We offer a competitive salary range of $112K - $133K, depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location. This role may also be eligible for certain discretionary performance-based bonus and/or incentive compensation.
