Job Summary

Armand Corporation, a leading construction management firm, is seeking a seasoned Construction Project Manager to oversee the processing of change orders and associated revisions to Design-Build Contract documents. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction accounting and a Bachelor's Degree in a related field.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the processing of change orders, ensuring proper maintenance and delivery of change order forms to relevant personnel.
  • Provide administrative contract support to the senior contract administrator and construction team, ensuring accurate and timely change order production.
  • Follow established Change Order procedures to identify, analyze, clarify, resolve, negotiate, and process change orders, including maintaining change logs.
  • Conduct cost and engineering estimating services to review and recommend action regarding Design-Build change requests, value engineering change proposals, claims, and provisional sum work.
  • Determine merit and evaluate the level of effort for hours and costs, negotiating with the contractor and preparing Findings of Facts and Records of Negotiation.
  • Prepare independent estimates on change proposals and new directives, recommending an equitable adjustment per contract specifications and requirements.
  • Support quantitative risk analysis and cost forecasting activities, preparing rough order of magnitude estimates as needed.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Construction, Engineering, or a related field required; advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of full-time experience in construction accounting relating to the processing of change orders.
  • Prior experience with rail, tunnel, structural, station, or soil construction is preferred.
  • Ability to pass a TWIC and/or SWAC Background Check at a high level.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
