Barista I

We are seeking a skilled Barista I to join our team at Kroger. As a Barista I, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service in a safe and clean environment. You will be the face of our coffee shop, ensuring that every customer has a positive experience.

• Prepare beverage selections to recipe and standards, and to customer requests using proper equipment.
• Offer product samples to help customers discover new items or products they inquire about.
• Inform customers of coffee shop specials and recommend items to ensure they get the products they want and need.
• Use all equipment in the coffee shop according to company guidelines, and prepare, package, label, and inventory ingredients in merchandise.
• Check product quality to ensure freshness, and properly use kitchen equipment, espresso machine, blender, computerized scale, and steamer.
• Label, stock, and inventory department merchandise, and report product ordering/shipping discrepancies to the department manager.
• Stay current with present, future, seasonal, and special ads, and adhere to all food safety regulations and guidelines.

• Practice preventive maintenance by properly inspecting equipment and notifying the appropriate department or store manager of any items in need of repair.
• Report all safety risks, issues, or illegal activity, including robbery, theft, or fraud to store management.
