Compensation:

Position Overview:
We are currently seeking a proficient Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join a leading plastic manufacturing firm in the Barnsley region. This role is available for immediate recruitment.
Work Schedule:
Shifts will alternate between days and nights, following a Panama shift pattern.

Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct routine maintenance and installation of machinery and equipment
- Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency
- Assist in the development and execution of Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) schedules
- Collaborate with various departments regarding equipment issues and modifications
- Work effectively within a team setting
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum Level 3 qualification in Electrical Engineering (City and Guilds or NVQ)
- HNC and HND qualifications are advantageous but not mandatory
- Solid mechanical engineering knowledge and experience is preferred
- Willingness to work on a shift basis
- Proven experience in fault finding in previous roles
- Background in manufacturing from an engineering perspective is desirable
- Familiarity with PLC systems
- Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal
- A flexible mindset and adaptability to meet the evolving needs of the business.
