A Line Cook is a vital hourly team member who works closely with the Executive Chef. The Line Cook is responsible for providing outstanding service in all aspects of food preparation for menu items and specials, adhering to our high standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Exhibit a comprehensive understanding of the menu, ensuring all food items are prepared to meet our quality standards.
- Demonstrate familiarity with all recipes, ingredients, and cooking techniques.
- Quickly adapt to new recipes and menu changes.
- Follow established recipes to maintain consistency in food quality.
- Respond accurately to inquiries from guests regarding menu offerings.
- Assist in managing food costs through diligent inventory practices.
- Utilize prep sheets to ensure proper quantities and minimize waste.
- Maintain thorough knowledge of the restaurant layout, including table setups and operational hours.
- Ensure complete understanding of menu items, including preparation methods, cook times, and presentation standards.
- Exhibit strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask effectively.
- Demonstrate physical stamina to perform tasks throughout the shift.
- Work independently while adhering to sanitation and health regulations.
- Collaborate with Chefs to discuss assignments and operational updates.
- Regularly inspect workstations for cleanliness and organization, addressing any issues promptly.
Qualifications:
Preferred experience includes one to two years in a similar role or a combination of education and relevant experience.
