Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Cardiology Technician to join our team at Virginia Jobs. As a Cardiology Technician, you will be responsible for performing ECG diagnostic testing, Holter and cardiac event monitor placement, and implantable device assessment/remote interrogation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform ECG diagnostic testing, including 12-lead electrocardiogram (ECG) acquisition and storage
  • Coordinate ECG routing and clinical workflow to support electronic interpretation by Cardiology fellow and attending MD
  • Apply Holter or cardiac event monitor, including accurate patient identification and verification
  • Configure, communicate, and troubleshoot FDA-approved medical devices, including cardiographs, Holter monitors, and cardiac event monitors
Requirements
  • High School Graduate or Equivalent
  • No experience required
  • American Heart Association (AHA) Health Care Provider BLS certification must be obtained within six months of hire
Physical Demands

The job requires sitting/standing for prolonged periods, frequently bending/stooping/traveling, reaching (overhead, extensive, repetitive); Repetitive motion: Keyboard, console and workstation repetitive motion.

Ability to lift/push/pull lbs. May be exposed to blood/body fluids and infectious disease.
