Job Summary:
Catholic Health Service is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team in the Gastrointestinal department at Kenmore Mercy Hospital. As a Registered Nurse - Gastrointestinal Care, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care through assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care plans. You will work collaboratively with physicians, ancillary staff, and other patient care personnel to maintain standards for professional nursing practice and performance improvement.
Responsibilities:
• Assess patient needs and develop individualized care plans
• Coordinate total patient care through assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care plans
• Participate in patient and family teaching
• Provide leadership by working cooperatively with physicians, ancillary staff, and other patient care personnel
• Maintain a current New York State Professional License and BLS certification
• One year of current G.I. procedure room experience
Working Conditions:
The Registered Nurse - Gastrointestinal Care will work in a normal heat, light, space, and safe working environment. The occasional exposure to mildly unpleasant physical conditions and intermittent exposure to a few unpleasant physical conditions are expected.
Requirements:
• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
• Current New York State Professional License
• BLS certification
• One year of current G.I. procedure room experience
