Manufacturing Engineer

As a Manufacturing Engineer - Design and Development at Martin Sprocket & Gear, you will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and evaluating integrated systems for managing industrial production processes.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, test, and evaluate integrated systems for managing industrial production processes.
• Review engineering specifications, customer requirements, and related information to determine appropriate manufacturing methods, procedures, and activities.
• Research and analyze customer design proposals, specifications, manuals, or other data to evaluate the feasibility, cost, or maintenance requirements of designs or applications.
• Conduct research that tests or analyzes equipment, components, or systems' feasibility, design, operation, or performance.
• Support manufacturing operations using lean enterprise tools and methods to address bottlenecks, maximize product reliability, eliminate waste, and reduce costs.
• Establish and review cost-saving methods and the effects of product design changes.
• Plan and establish the sequence of operations to produce parts and promote efficient utilization.
• Draft and design layout of equipment, materials, and workspace to illustrate maximum efficiency using drafting tools and software.
• Investigate equipment and system failures to diagnose faulty operation and recommend design modifications.
• Communicate openly and work collaboratively with all departments and operational support functions.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree required in Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering or similar field.
• 2 years of engineering experience in a manufacturing environment with production processes and costs, applying lean enterprise tools, methods, and statistical process control.
• Mechanical aptitude or technical inclination required.
• Ability to read and interpret part prints, technical drawings, schematics, or computer-generated reports.
• Must be detail-oriented.

The estimated salary for this position is $65,000-$85,000 per year, depending on experience.
