Job Summary

Sco Family of Services is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Relief Counselor to join our team. As a key member of our support services, you will play a vital role in ensuring the well-being and safety of our residents.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement individualized care plans to meet the unique needs of each resident.
  • Provide guidance and support to residents in areas such as health, safety, clothing, hygiene, and meals.
  • Establish and maintain a safe and orderly living environment, including supervision of daily routines and activities.
  • Collaborate with residents, families, and other stakeholders to promote positive behavior and achieve treatment goals.
  • Attend to the educational, vocational, health, and mental health needs of residents.
  • Model positive behavior and provide guidance on conflict resolution and negotiation techniques.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in social work, counseling, or related field preferred.
  • Experience working with youth or adults in a residential or support services setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
