About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Pizza Cook to join our team at Oregano's Pizza Bistro. As a Pizza Cook, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality pizzas and other menu items to our guests.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that all pizzas and menu items are prepared to our high standards of quality and presentation.
  • Adhere to recipes, procedural direction, and prep lists to maintain consistency and efficiency in the kitchen.
  • Run assigned stations throughout the shift, maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
  • Clean, sanitize, and maintain kitchen equipment and utensils.
  • Maintain compliance with food service health, safety, food handling, and hygiene codes and standards.
  • Support all kitchen teammates, including dishwashing tasks, to ensure a smooth and efficient kitchen operation.
  • Report any maintenance problems, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries to management.
  • Perform all duties and responsibilities according to the Oregano's Team Member Handbook.

Requirements:

  • High-volume line cook experience preferred.
  • Valid state-accredited food safety and handling certification.
  • Must be 16 years of age or older and 18 years of age to operate some kitchen equipment.
  • Ability to hear and communicate with staff in a loud work environment.
  • Ability to withstand temperatures equal to or less than 0°F and equal to or greater than 100°F.
  • Prolonged periods of standing and working up to 8 hours in a kitchen.
  • Ability to lift, balance, and carry up to 50 pounds for distances of up to 50 feet.
  • Manual dexterity and eye/hand coordination in using commercial cleaning equipment and products.
