Job Summary:

The Production Team Lead is responsible for overseeing and directing production activities within our manufacturing facility at Synerfac. This role involves coordinating the production of goods, ensuring machines are running smoothly, and managing staff on production lines and fabrication.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inspect materials, products, or equipment to detect defects or malfunctions, and report any issues to the management team.
  • Collaborate with other supervisors to coordinate operations and activities within or between departments.
  • Recommend or implement measures to motivate employees and improve production methods, equipment performance, product quality, and efficiency.
  • Direct, coordinate, and monitor the activities of employees engaged in the production department.
  • Review production schedules, and other records and reports to determine production requirements and evaluate current production estimates and outputs.
  • Requisition materials, supplies, equipment parts, or repair services as needed.
  • Maintain operations data, such as cycle time, production, and cost records, and prepare management reports of production results.
  • Ensure inventory levels are adequate to meet production demands.
  • Ensure compliance with workplace safety programs.
  • Cross-train worker teams for maximum production flexibility.

Requirements:

  • 2 years of previous experience in production control or other related fields within a manufacturing environment, including supervisory/team lead experience.
  • Leadership skills and ability to manage staff.
  • Good organizational skills and attention to detail; ability to manage several projects simultaneously.
  • Proven ability to implement process improvement initiatives.
  • Strong knowledge of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Strong mechanical aptitude.
  • Ability to operate hand tools and mechanical equipment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Able to handle pressure in various customer situations and work well under deadlines.

Preferred:
Bilingual in Spanish and English.

Education/Certification:

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • College degree or certifications are a plus
