Position Summary:
As a Junior Laser Systems Technician, you will immerse yourself in the latest advancements in ophthalmic technology while working in a dynamic and supportive environment. This role is ideal for individuals eager to learn and grow within the field.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, de-install, and operate portable laser systems and associated equipment at various client locations.
- Calibrate and program equipment to ensure surgeon approval prior to surgical procedures.
- Manage the operation of dual laser systems when required.
- Conduct routine preventative maintenance and repairs on laser systems to optimize functionality and reduce downtime.
- Troubleshoot and replace components of laser systems, ensuring compliance with vendor specifications.
- Maintain all company equipment in excellent working condition.
- Follow standard operating procedures that align with the highest standards of care.
- Complete annual and semi-annual preventative maintenance checks and documentation.
- Adhere to proper sterile techniques.
- Perform manual labor as necessary.
- Other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- A degree in Laser Electro-optics, Biomedical Equipment Technology, Biomedical Electronics, Electronics, or equivalent military training.
- Strong understanding of basic electronics and testing equipment.
- Flexibility to work varied schedules and travel as needed.
- Ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment.
- Valid Driver's License and capability to pass a company-administered road test.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
- Exceptional customer service skills.
