Job Overview

Position: Substance Use Treatment Specialist

Employment Type: Contract Role

Schedule: Evening Availability Required

Summit Counseling Services is enhancing its outpatient treatment offerings and launching a new residential treatment facility in the Mid/Western North Dakota region. This expansion aims to address the growing demand for support services in rural areas.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify client treatment requirements through various modalities including in-person, telehealth, and phone consultations.
  • Deliver individual and group therapy sessions utilizing diverse therapeutic methods to promote sobriety and overall wellness, assisting clients in achieving their treatment goals.
  • Design and lead group sessions focused on topics such as relapse prevention, trauma recovery, parenting strategies, and spiritual growth to support clients in their recovery journey.
  • Monitor and evaluate client progress to assess the effectiveness of treatment interventions.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation regarding client interactions and treatment advancements in compliance with federal, state, and organizational standards.
  • Engage in collaborative staff meetings to discuss client care and ensure the delivery of appropriate treatment services.
  • Facilitate referrals to additional support services as necessary to guarantee comprehensive care for clients.
  • Perform administrative tasks including the timely completion of progress notes and treatment plans in accordance with established policies and regulations.
  • Exhibit reliable attendance and flexibility to accommodate the needs of the business, including evening and weekend availability as required.

Note: This position requires in-person interactions and a current Addiction License in the State of North Dakota. Candidates applying for an underfill position must have a contract for continued employment upon licensure completion.

Compensation: Salary is negotiable based on contract terms and is competitive for the role.
