At UNM Hospitals, we are committed to providing exceptional patient care and advancing the field of nursing. As an Outpatient Nurse, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality care to our patients in the ambulatory setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide safe, direct patient care utilizing the nursing process.
- Provide clinical leadership for staff and serve as a role model.
- Provide full range of patient education to patients and family members.
- Assume relief charge duties, when designated.
Requirements:
- Essential: RN in NM or as allowed by reciprocal agreement by NM, CPR for Healthcare/BLS Prov or Prof Rescuers w/in 30 days.
- Nonessential: Bachelor's Degree, Bilingual English, Spanish, Keres, Tewa, Tiwa, Towa, Zuni, or Navajo.
Working Conditions:
- Heavy Work: Exerting 50 to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 25 to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or 10 to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects or people.
- Med Haz: Mod exposure to chemicals/dangerous equip/materials.
