As a Pharmacist at Kroger, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring the accuracy of every prescription filled. Your expertise will be essential in maintaining a safe and clean environment, adhering to quality assurance standards, and controlling expenses. You will be responsible for scheduling and staffing technicians to meet business needs, monitoring department functions, and demonstrating the company's core values.
Key Responsibilities- Fulfill Customer Prescription Needs: Concentrate on the accuracy of every prescription filled, ensuring that customers receive their medications promptly and accurately.
- Provide Patient Counseling and Pharmaceutical Care: Offer guidance and support to customers, ensuring they understand their medications and any potential interactions.
- Ensure Compliance with Laws and Regulations: Maintain awareness of local, state, and federal laws, including HIPAA, and ensure that pharmacies comply with all relevant regulations.
- Maintain a Professional Image: Adhere to pharmacy standards, enforce company dress standards, and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Monitor Stock Replenishment and Inventory Levels: Ensure that stock levels are maintained, and inventory is accurately recorded and secured.
- Follow Procedures for Handling Pharmacy Products: Source products from authorized suppliers and ensure that all accuracy tools are utilized appropriately.
- Establish and Maintain Record Keeping Practices: Ensure that all necessary records are maintained, including inventory, security, and scheduling records.
- Maintain a Clean and Organized Work Area: Ensure that the work area, including work counters, shelves, floors, and customer counters, is clean, neat, and organized.
- Handle Product Returns: Ensure that all product returns are handled in a timely and compliant manner.
- Maintain Equipment and Signage: Ensure that all equipment, including computers, printers, and cash registers, is in working condition, and that all necessary signage is maintained.
- Continuously Improve Knowledge and Skills: Make a strong and continuous effort to broaden personal knowledge and pharmacy skills.
- Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy, current state pharmacist licensure in good standing, ability to handle stressful situations, and knowledge of basic math.
- Desired Qualifications: 1 year of retail experience and second language skills (speaking, reading, and/or writing).
