Pharmacy Technician

Job Summary:

As a Pharmacy Technician at Walgreens, you will play a vital role in supporting our pharmacists in providing exceptional patient care and service. Your primary responsibility will be to assist pharmacists in the practice of pharmacy, ensuring that patients receive accurate and timely medication dispensing.

Key Responsibilities:

• 
  
• Assist pharmacists in the performance of pharmacy duties, including retrieving, counting, and pouring pharmaceutical drugs.
  
• Verify medication accuracy and check for possible interactions.
  
• Process prescriptions, including manual claims for third-party program services.
  
• Assist with inventory management, including ordering, unpacking, and storing pharmaceuticals.
  
• Provide excellent customer service, engaging with patients and resolving any issues that may arise.
  

Requirements:

• 
  
• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
  
• Requires willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
  
• Prefer six months of experience in a retail environment.
  
• Prefer prior work experience with Walgreens.
  
• Prefer good math skills and computer skills.
  
• Prefer knowledge of store inventory control and PTCB or ExCPT certification.
