Pit Operator II

Spherion is seeking a skilled Pit Operator II to join our team in Port Allen. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for operating powered industrial lift trucks (forklifts) and order pickers to move product, equipment, and materials safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate powered industrial lift trucks (forklifts) and order pickers to push, pull, lift, stack, or move product, equipment, and materials.
• Use a handheld scanner with a high degree of accuracy to track inventory and manage stock levels.
• Load and unload trailers as required, adhering to the Company 7S program and maintaining a clean environment at all times.
• Demonstrate a commitment to process excellence and an understanding of the company quality policy.
• Work in a hot or cold warehouse environment, with the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and sit or stand for long periods of time.
• Perform inbound receiving process, moving materials placed on wheeled carts weighing up to 500 lbs.
• Lift objects of various shapes, sizes, and weights, bending, stooping, squatting, twisting, pushing, and pulling as needed.
• Stand, sit, or walk for long periods of time, using hands and fingers to handle or feel tools or equipment.
• Tolerate hot or cold warehouse environments.

Requirements:

• 1 year of warehouse experience.
• Trained and certified in the safe operation of powered industrial lift trucks.
• Lift up to 50 lbs.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
