**Job Summary:**

WIN Waste Innovations is a leading waste management company seeking a skilled Crane Operator to join our team. As a Crane Operator, you will play a critical role in maintaining proper refuse flow to our operating boilers and controlling pit management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate refuse crane to ensure smooth and efficient refuse flow to boilers.
  • Monitor, lubricate, inspect, and clean refuse crane to prevent excessive grapple swings and reduce wear on electrical and mechanical parts.
  • Mix refuse thoroughly before feeding to boilers to ensure proper combustion and minimize arches.
  • Maintain the crane control room and surrounding area in a clean and orderly condition.
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues and management through verbal and written communication.
  • Anticipate and troubleshoot potential problems, and take corrective action to prevent equipment downtime.

Work Environment:

The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with exposure to noise, physical demands, and adverse weather conditions. The role requires standing, sitting, walking, and climbing for extended periods, as well as handling tools and equipment.

Physical Demands:

  • Stand for prolonged periods.
  • Sit for extended periods.
  • Walk and climb on heights.
  • Handle tools and equipment.
  • Reach and lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Move about all areas of the plant, including catwalks and uneven surfaces.

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE):

  • Negative pressure respirator.
  • Positive pressure respirator.
  • Self-contained breathing apparatus.
  • Hardhat.
  • Approved safety shoes.
  • Eye protection.
  • Rubber suit and gloves.
  • Chemical resistant suit.
  • Heat resistant outerwear.
  • Flame resistant outerwear.
  • Approved hearing protection.
