Newscast Director Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Newscast Director to join our team at WLWT, the Hearst Television owned NBC affiliate in Cincinnati. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for communicating and executing all technical aspects of live production, working closely with the Producer, Technical Director, Audio Operator, Studio, and Engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Direct broadcast newscasts, ensuring a clean and polished technical execution.
• Collaborate with the newscast producer and production crew to provide creative input and support.
• Develop and maintain a deep understanding of newsroom systems, including ENPS and video playback systems.
• Troubleshoot technical issues and work around problems that arise during live news.

Requirements:

• At least 2 years of experience directing newscasts, with a strong background in production switchers, video servers, and audio and studio equipment.
• Proficiency in MOS and basic computer network understanding.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including holidays and weekends, and related military experience will be considered.
