Position Overview

Shifts Available: 7am-7pm / 7pm-7am, 3.5 days per week

Role Summary:

The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) plays a crucial role in delivering essential daily nursing care and services to residents, adhering to their individual assessments and care plans, while also following directives from supervisory staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support residents with their daily activities and personal needs as instructed by the Wellness Director.
  • Assist residents during meal times.
  • Monitor and record vital signs.
  • Help in transferring, moving, or repositioning residents as necessary.
  • Gather information regarding residents' conditions and treatment plans from the caregiving team.
  • Respond to resident calls promptly.
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation in resident areas.
  • Assist with changing bed linens and replenishing necessary supplies.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by the Wellness Director or nursing supervisor.

Qualifications:

  • Valid certification as a nursing assistant in the state of Illinois, in good standing.
  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
  • Completion of an accredited nursing assistant training program.
  • Current registration on the IDPH HCWR Registry.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks typical of CNA duties, including lifting weights up to 50 lbs.
  • Valid CPR certification (recently expired certifications are acceptable; recertification will be provided).
