Qualifications Required:
- Education: Graduate from an accredited registered nursing program.
- Licensure: Responsible for obtaining and maintaining a current RN license in the hiring state and/or compact licensure where nursing duties are performed, adhering to all state board of nursing requirements.
- Certifications: Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion of the course within 30 days of hire.
- Physical Requirements:
- Ability to push, pull, and/or lift up to 50 pounds regularly
- Prolonged standing and walking required each shift
- Capability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform job duties
Unit Overview:
4C Unit: Focuses on the medical cardiac population, managing both chronic and acute conditions while providing telemetry and cardiac care. Patients typically present with complex management needs such as heart failure, respiratory distress, dysrhythmias, pneumonia, sepsis, COPD, diabetes, and gastrointestinal issues. The unit also coordinates care for patients requiring catheterization lab services, angiography, dialysis, outpatient infusion/chemotherapy, and anticoagulation therapies.
Safety Consideration: This position is deemed safety-sensitive, necessitating the ability to maintain constant alertness and operate in a safe manner.
