We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Early Childhood Education Director to lead our preschool team at the Countryside Learning Center in Rosendale, WI. As a key member of our staff, you will be responsible for creating a stimulating and safe learning environment for children aged 3-5.

About the Role

The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of child development principles and be able to coordinate educational curriculum and lesson plans that meet the needs of our students. You will also be expected to lead by example, motivate and guide your teaching team to ensure success in achieving our program goals.

In addition to your educational expertise, you will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with parents, colleagues, and other stakeholders. A strong background in leadership, organization, and time management is essential for this role, as you will be responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating educational programs.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement educational curriculum and lesson plans that align with early childhood education standards and best practices.
  • Lead and motivate a team of teachers to achieve program goals and objectives.
  • Maintain a safe and healthy learning environment that promotes social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development in young children.
  • Communicate effectively with parents, colleagues, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless collaboration and support.
  • Supervise and mentor teacher assistants and volunteers to ensure they meet planned activities, hygiene, and safety standards.
  • Manage accurate records, forms, and files to ensure compliance with state regulations and center policies.
  • Maintain personal professional development plan to ensure continuous quality improvement.
Requirements
  • A minimum of one year of experience working with children in a licensed child development facility.
  • A High School Diploma or Equivalent is required; preference given to candidates with higher qualifications.
  • Certification in First Aid/Infant Child CPR/AED is mandatory, with recertification requirements as necessary.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, basic computer skills, and high energy levels are essential.
  • A strong understanding of child development principles, excellent leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills are critical for success in this role.
  • Ability to lift 35 pounds, stand for 8-10 hours per day, and perform prolonged periods of standing and frequent bending.
Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary for this position is $45,000 - $55,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including paid holidays, workman's compensation insurance, FMLA, bereavement leave, sick pay, vacation time, flexible work schedules, and continuing education reimbursement up to $75 per year.
