Care for the Mental Well-being of our Airmen

At the United States Air Force, we prioritize the mental health and well-being of our personnel. As a Clinical Psychologist, you will play a crucial role in providing top-notch care and support to our Airmen.

Key Responsibilities
  • Dispense prescribed medications and educate patients on proper usage and side effects
  • Provide patient counseling and quality control to maximize positive health outcomes
  • Meet the minimum education requirements, including a doctoral degree in clinical psychology or counseling psychology
  • Complete a clinical internship and obtain a valid, unrestricted state-issued license to practice clinical or counseling psychology
  • Meet the age requirement of between 18 and 42 years old
Requirements

To be eligible for this role, you must meet the following requirements:

  • Hold a current, unrestricted license
  • Have a doctoral degree (Ph.D. or Psy.D.) in clinical psychology or counseling psychology
  • Complete a clinical internship
  • Possibly additional requirements for specialties
