Job Title: CT Technologist

We are seeking a skilled and experienced CT Technologist to join our team at Sigma Healthcare Team. As a CT Technologist, you will be responsible for operating CT equipment to acquire high-quality images for use by physicians in diagnosis and treatment of pathologies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate CT equipment to obtain diagnostic images and information according to departmental protocol.
  • Prepare patients for exams, ensuring they are properly positioned and immobilized.
  • Select proper imaging factors and image the designated portion(s) of the body.
  • Deliver patient care under the scope of your license/training.
  • Calibrate and verify the operation of all equipment to be used during the workday.
  • Notify appropriate personnel of equipment malfunctions and repairs needed.
  • Execute paperwork and Radiology Information System functions as necessary for each patient exam.
  • Perform venipuncture for purposes of contrast administration under the direction of a radiologist.
  • Attend staff meetings, in-services, and maintain appropriate CEUs in accordance with Massachusetts State Licensure and A.R.R.T. requirements.
  • May oversee and instruct various personnel and technology students within the department.
  • Prepare the equipment room and supplies necessary for each patient and regular daily use.
  • Transport and transfer patients using established procedures according to departmental guidelines.
Requirements:
  • Must be a graduate of an approved school of Radiologic technology.
  • Must possess a current Massachusetts State Radiologic Technologist license and be registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or equivalent.
  • Must meet, successfully complete, and maintain the ARRT or equivalent CT certification and registration within one year of start of employment.
  • 2-3 years' experience as a Radiologic technologist preferred with at least one year in cross-sectional anatomy courses.
  • ARRT certification.
  • Must be BLS (Basic Life Support) certified.
Working Conditions:

The CT Technologist will work in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions. Must be able to adapt to changing pace and work in a team environment. Must be physically capable of lifting, pushing, and pulling equipment and supplies. Must be aware of hazards within the department and adhere to safety standards established by BWH and regulatory agencies.
