Job Summary

The Guitar Center Company is seeking a skilled Logistics Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our logistics department, you will be responsible for making routing decisions for domestic shipments, analyzing transportation costs, and identifying cost-saving opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Make routing decisions for domestic shipments to ensure timely delivery
  • Analyze transportation costs and identify opportunities for cost savings
  • Provide service issue solutions and training to vendors and team members
  • Assign routing to all shipments in TMS, ensuring proper carriers are used
  • Perform duties related to building and scheduling loads, tracking, and tracing shipments

Requirements

  • 4 years of relevant work experience in a distribution environment
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, including Excel and Word
  • High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and efficiency when entering data
  • Ability to effectively communicate detailed information over the telephone and/or computer system
