Overview

As a Tooling Engineering intern, you will have the opportunity to work on impactful projects, develop your skills, and contribute to the company's mission to invent, design, and build what's best in aerospace.

Responsibilities

As a Tooling Engineering intern, your responsibilities will include:

  • Working on cross-functional teams to understand production and tooling processes
  • Leading projects to improve current build processes by utilizing tool design and fabrication resources
  • Applying design expertise using CATIA-V5 to design/modify production or support fixtures
  • Developing activity-based plans, project schedules, and executive summaries
  • Determining specifications and scope of projects (safety/ergo improvements, lean manufacturing enhancements, shipping/handling development, etc.)
  • Addressing team members and leadership on project progression and conclusion

You will also have the opportunity to participate in various activities, including:

  • Multiple manufacturing plant tours
  • Professional development workshops
  • Project Expo (an opportunity to present an intern project for executive leaders)
  • Social/networking events
Qualifications

To be eligible for this internship, you must:

  • Be a US Person (US Citizen or US Permanent Resident)
  • Be enrolled full-time in a university degree program aligned to the area of internship
  • Be a current sophomore, junior, senior, or graduate student in good academic standing
