Job Summary

As a Bus Technician at Point Eight Power, you will be responsible for installing copper bus bars according to drawing packages and QSPM requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Installing copper bus bar as per drawing packages and QSPM requirements.
  • Maintaining a safe, clean, well-organized work area; complying with safety procedures and requirements.
  • Identifying and documenting missing materials or production problems that may cause project delays or impact quality.
  • Providing supportive guidance/training to team members in proficiently performing their job tasks.
  • Contributing new and innovative ideas to drive continuous process improvements in quality and efficiencies.
  • Independently completing small projects without guidance after the foreman has signed off on QCP.
  • Coordinating with team members of assigned projects, ensuring on-schedule, high-quality project completion that are well within estimates.
  • Performing quality inspections on projects in manufacturing both during and prior to shipment, ensuring a consistently best-in-class product.

Requirements

  • High school diploma/GED.
  • 1-3 years of relevant work experience in switchgear manufacturing or electrical controls experience.
  • Strong regard for guidelines, procedures, and integrity.
  • Ability to apply principles, techniques, procedures, and equipment to the design and production of various goods.
  • Knowledge of machines and tools including wrenches, sockets, screwdrivers, air ratchets, heat gun, ratchets, center punch, hand drill, lug crimper, and cable cutter.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees.
